About me

Hi, I’m Iestyn Lloyd-Wilkins, a BAFTA-winning programmer and technical leader with 29 years of experience across games, XR and interactive technology.

I’m currently Principal Programmer at nDreams in Brighton, leading XR research and development. Recent work includes Little Cities: Diorama for Apple Vision Pro, Oh My Galaxy! for Samsung Galaxy XR and Meta Quest 3, and exploratory R&D for wearables and smart glasses such as Meta Ray-Ban.

Before that I spent seven years as co-founder and CTO of Future Visual, where I set technical direction, built and led the team, and delivered commercial XR products: multi-user VR training for IATA, two 100 m² multi-user VR game installations, and VISIONxR, a multi-user framework for VR, AR and flatscreen apps.

Earlier still I ran Lloyd Digital, a Unity development consultancy, and was Technical Director at Littleloud, where Bow Street Runner for Channel 4 won a BAFTA. Along the way I have built projects for IATA, Medtronic, BBC, Channel 4, Disney, Google, Marvel, Paramount, the Royal Air Force, Unity and many more.

Day to day I work in Unity and C#, alongside native app development in Swift, SwiftUI and RealityKit on Apple platforms and Kotlin on Android, with AI-accelerated programming workflows using Claude Code and Codex. I have spoken at industry events including Unite Europe, run AR and VR workshops, and taught VR development.
