Flash + Papervision 3D + Arduino

In my second little project today, I modified the circuit I built for the Flash etch-a-sketch, by adding another potentiometer and 3 LEDs, each of which represents the voltage of each pot (using pulse-width modulation to ‘dim’ the LED).

Each pot is responsible for either the pitch, yaw, or roll of a cube in PV3D.

Simple stuff that’s been done before! I think I need to think of something a bit more interesting now :D

  • Hi Iestyn,

    Nice work :)

I have been lucky enough to get hold of an Arduino Ethernet board.
I am able to connect to the Arduino board via flash over the net in the flash environment on my laptop. Connections are so easy, the Ethernet board listens to a socket and gets its data that way.

However, when I run the SWF from a browser I am getting cross policy domain issues.

Can I send you the cross domain file i have and see what you think?

I am so close to getting control of an arduino board over the net via flash. One last push!

  • Hi Adam,

Sure, send it over and i’ll take a look :)

  • Adam, what’s your hardware set-up? It sounds very interesting.

    Hoss.
