A while back in January my good friend Daniel sent me a Joost invite. At the time, I was impressed with the technology, but felt the content was so lacking, it just wasn’t worth pursuing.
This morning I thought i’d download the new beta and see if it’s any better. I’m pleased to say that it’s certainly getting better, slowly: There’s more channels now, including an Aardman Animation channel, An XL Recordings channel (Old school Prodigy music videos, nice!), a Ministry of Sound channel (good if you want to watch scantily clad ladies gyrating to club music), clips of Fifth Gear, and a few other things that might interest me if i’m bored.
Joost is definitely worth watching though: They’ve just secured $45,000,000 in funding, and they’re signing a lot of deals with some very influential companies.

I agree that Joost will be growing as it’s content does. I just hope they don’t focus on local content.
